Exporting Capacity


The SBCs are some of the forms of export with the highest added value since they generate employment, drive innovation and technological development in the country and are a great source of foreign exchange income. They are mainly composed of accounting, legal, architecture, engineering, audiovisual, advertising, information technology, research and development, consulting and business services.

According to the Argenconomics III report presented by Argencon, during the last year Argentina exported knowledge for US $ 5.8 billion, being the third largest generator of foreign exchange behind the soybean and automotive complexes, and surpassing cereals, products chemicals, fuels and metals, among other traditional export items.

This SBC export volume allowed us to generate a positive balance of US $ 2.2 billion compared to its imports. With this surplus of 37 %, Argentina is the main country in the region in generating net income, being the 2nd in export volume, behind Brazil.

Recently, the international consulting firm Everest Group prepared a report that qualifies Buenos Aires as the best city in Latin America to produce services - due to its cost / availability of skilled labor - and among the top 5 in the world for BPO services and among the first 10 for ITO.
